The College of Education for Human Sciences seeks to assume a leading position in the development of the educational system at all academic levels. It works to develop its academic departments in cooperation with other university faculties to expand the horizons of scientific and educational research and achieve a pioneering role in the field of teaching, training, and research in the humanities, social sciences, and linguistics. It also seeks to consolidate academic standards and align with scientific visions to improve the quality of learners and advance them in the service of society.

To facilitate, support, and communicate the educational process at all academic levels through cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Youth, the Ministry of Health, and various state ministries, as well as with faculty and researchers at similar institutions and colleges in Iraqi and Arab universities. The college’s mission is unique in the areas of teacher and researcher preparation, educational program and policy development, and scientific activities and consultations for various state institutions.

The Deanship of the College of Education for Humanities seeks to prepare teaching staff to support middle, secondary and preparatory schools and institutes affiliated with the Directorates of Education in Iraq, which contribute to supporting society by graduating a batch of its students annually, and providing them throughout the study period with various educational and scientific skills and a broad knowledge of teaching methods and modern educational techniques coupled with field training, as well as to prepare academic staff in the field of postgraduate studies, diploma, master’s and doctorate in all specializations that contribute to achieving development plans and meet the requirements of the labor market, and support the educational and pedagogical process in Iraq.
